Travelling Ghana is safe and a good experience for everyone. It is a relaxed way of getting to know Subsahara Africa, and Ghana is hence a good destination for 

people coming for the first time to Africa. You may sometimes feel irritated and so it will make things easier when an experienced tour guide assists you in your travelling, be it with public transport or with a rented car.

 

 

 

 

 

In Ghana zu reisen ist sicher und eine schöne Erfahrung für jeden. Es ist eine entspannte Art das Subsahra Afrika kennen zu lernen. So ist Ghana ein gutes Reiseziel für diejenigen, die zum ersten Mal nach Afrika kommen.

 Doch manches Mal kann man sich schon etwas verunsichert fühlen, und dann erleichtert die Unterstützung durch einen erfahrenen Reiseleiter die Reise, sei es mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder mit dem Mietwagen.

 

 

Services rendered by Tour Guide:

-          Escort services to the various places and sights of interest

-          On-the-spot arrangements for transport / driving services

-          On-the-spot arrangements for accommodation and meals

-          Translation services from / to English from / to local languages

Daily lump sum for Tour Guide’s services: 40,- GhC (as per October 2013)

Note 1: Meals, transport fees, accommodation, and entrance fees for the Tour Guide are excluded from the lump sum and have to be catered for by the guests

Note 2: A private car can be hired at excluding fuel, which will have to be bought by the guests / driving services included by the tour guide

Day 1 – Monday 

Meeting in N. (8:00 am), Transfer to Wli

Agumatsa National Reserve / Water Falls

Nightover in Wli: Wli Waterfall Lodge (run by a German couple)

Day 2 – Tuesday 

Transfer to Amedzofe

Guided tour through the former German mission / Amedzofe Falls (climbing!)

Nightover in Amedzofe: Government Rest House (self-catering: supper and breakfast to be ordered in village immediately after arrival!) / or Vane / or Biakpa

Day 3 – Wednesday 

Transfer to Tafi Atome

Monkey sanctuary / village tour

Transfer to / nightover in Ho: Freedom Hotel

Day 4 – Thursday 

City / Market tour in Ho

Transfer to Akosombo

Akosombo Dam – Dam visit

Nightover in Atimpoku: Aylo’s Bay Hotel

Day 5 – Friday 

Akosombo – boot tour or fishermen tour

Transfer to / nightover in Kumasi: Guestline Lodge or Hotel de Kingsway

Day 6 – Saturday 

Kejetia Central Market visit or  Art Center visit or city walk / Kente weaving village Adanwoumasi

Nightover in Kumasi: Guestline Lodge or Hotel de Kingsway

Day 7 – Sunday 

Transfer to Lake Bosumtwi

Swimming / Resting / Forest Walk

Nightover at Lake Bosumtwi: Government Resthouse or Obo: Lake Point Guesthouse

Day 8 – Monday 

Transfer to Kakum National Park: Canopy Walk

Transfer to / Nightover in Cape Coast: Hans Cottage or Oasis

Day 9 – Tuesday 

Cape Coast Castle visit - Return to N.
